Piccolo appoints architects for 31-apartment, Elwood Village project

i

Boutique Melbourne developer Michael Piccolo has reunited with two of Australia's most awarded architectural design firms for his latest project in the heart of Melbourne's inner-city Elwood Village.

For the new project, Mr Piccolo has assembled the same design team, Woods Bagot and Hecker Guthrie, that designed the multi award-winning Carlton apartments Garden House.

Piccolo purchased the former Elwood RSL building in 2013 and now plans to transform the corner site on Ormond Road and Pine Avenue into 31 high-end apartments with three retail spaces fronting the village.

Aimed at downsizers and affluent young purchasers, apartments are generously sized with three, two and one bedroom apartments available. Expansive terraces and car spaces come with each apartment.

Taking some of the key design principles from Garden House, the individual apartment interiors are entirely bespoke with considered design additions to suit all buyers.

The project will also feature three retail spaces along Ormond Road, which will be retained by Piccolo.
