Leukemia Foundation To Call Boggo Road Home

The

Leukaemia Foundation of Queensland

has lodged a Development Application for 30 apartments as part of the relocation of their

Brisbane

headquarters from Royal Brisbane Hospital, Herston.

Located within the much-anticipated

Boggo Road Urban Village

, the development comprises 30 x 2 and 3 bedroom apartments over 5 levels plus ground floor retail and commercial space.

According to the Planning Application, the apartments will provide short to medium-term accommodation for Leukaemia patients and their families as they undergo treatment at the nearby Princess Alexandra or Mater hospitals.

Prior to lodging their DA, LFQ successfully acquired an adjoining parcel of land which will be used to construct an outdoor entertainment area and landscaped gardens.

Construction is expected to commence in  mid-2011  with completion expected in late-2011/early-2012.
