Lendlease Breaks Ground on Collins Wharf Tower

Lendlease has begun construction of its highrise at Victoria Harbour’s Collins Wharf precinct in Melbourne’s Docklands.

The site is between the Yarra River and Victoria Harbour where Collins Street meets the water and is the second of six residential projects proposed for the Collins Wharf precinct.

The 29-storey Regatta at Collins Wharf will comprise 317 homes, a lobby with concierge service, indoor swimming pool, spa, sauna, steam room, gym and multi-purpose rooms.

More than 80 per cent of the homes at Regatta have been pre-sold, according to Lendlease development executive director Daniel Dugina.

The first project of the six for the precinct was No.1 Collins Wharf, which Lendlease completed in 2019.

The developer’s third project in the precinct is Ancora.

The developer will provide more than 5000sq m of new public space, including part of the City of Melbourne’s Greenline project and new green spaces around the Regatta and Ancora towers, as part of the masterplan.

Architects Warren and Mahoney designed the plans for Regatta and Openwork designed the open spaces.

Lendlease is planning for completion of work, being done by builder Hickory, in 2026.

Regatta will be an all-electric building with infrastructure for electric vehicles and is targeting 5 star Green Star certification.
