Council Delays Ends in Court Approval for Cronulla Block

A shoptop development planned for a Sydney beachside suburb has joined the long list of proposals approved on appeal in the state.
The plans for Cronulla won the green light from the Land and Environment Court last week after the application was not determined by the council in time.
The proposal for 66-68 Croydon Street, near Tonkin Oval and South Cronulla Beach, was filed with the Sutherland Shire Council in January of last year by Smarak, an entity associated with Mark and Martin Karam, according to ASIC documents.
