A major player in Byron Bay’s competitive hospitality sector has added the crown jewel to his portfolio, paying $140 million for the Beach Hotel in an off-market deal.
The landmark venue was acquired by Scott Didier and his family under their Redcape Hotel Group.
It is the second highest price paid for an Australian pub after The Crossroads Hotel at Casula, Sydney, changed hands for $160 million in April of 2022.
