One Level, Six Stars: Gold Coast Penthouses Revealed

Images of the two six-star penthouses planned for a Gold Coast tower have been revealed by developer David Devine.

The penthouses will top Devine’s ultra-luxurious 24-storey Burly Residences at North Burleigh.

The $480-million Burly Residences has been on the market since late 2023 after winning approval from the Gold Coast City Council in April.

Priced from $13.8 million, the two single-level penthouses on level 23 have 432sq m floorplans, four ensuited bedrooms plus a powder room for guests, and a large multi-purpose room that can be used as a home theatre, home office or library.

The master bedroom spans 64sqm, opening out to a large balcony overlooking the beach and includes a walk-in wardrobe and ensuite with a large bath as the centrepiece.

The kitchens, including a butler’s pantry and wet bar, are surrounded by open-plan living areas that open out to a 71sq m balcony overlooking North Burleigh Beach.

The entertaining areas include a temperature-controlled cellar room for storing and displaying fine wines and liquors.

Burly Residences will site on a 2024sqm site with 40m frontage to 264-268 The Esplanade.

In October 2022, Devine shelved plans for an apartment tower after acquiring an adjoining property, giving him the chance at a more ambitious development with a price tag nearly four times that of the first.

His DD Living filed the Burly development application to replace plans for the $105-million Alba Residences, greenlit earlier in 2022 after acquiring the neighbouring 1012sq m site. The purchase doubled the footprint of the beachfront site.

“Burleigh has the right mix of qualities that make it a place where people want to live, work and play,” Devine said.

“It has evolved into a premium coastal location in recent years, without losing the seaside village.”

The interiors have been designed by award-winning interior design studio Mim Design in collaboration with Burly Residence’s architect Koichi Takada.

The tower comprises of 101 apartments across 24 levels with two whole floors of six-star amenities including a concierge.

Resort and lifestyle amenities across two levels include swimming pools, sun beds, gymnasium, peloton room, steam room, sauna, yoga and Pilates lounge, private cinema, barbecue area, casual and formal dining, kitchen, teppanyaki bar, private office, executive lounge, bar and pool deck.
