Brighton Le Sands Shift to Midrise Gathers Pace

Sydney’s Brighton Le Sands is back in the DA pipeline as a 10-storey proposal on Bay Street adds to the suburb’s gradual shift towards midrise, mixed-use living.
The $21-million project planned for 303–307 Bay Street comprises 29 apartments—six designated as affordable housing—above a ground-floor retail tenancy, four levels of basement parking and rooftop communal open space.
The 968sq m site sits along Bay Street’s commercial strip, just back from the Brighton foreshore and about 16km from Sydney’s CBD.
