Bold Decision On North Lakes Headquarters site

Home builder Bold Group of Companies has acquired a site in Stockland's masterplanned North Lakes community for its new $2.5 million headquarters.

The builder purchased the 2500 sqm site earlier this year and has lodged a development application for a state-of-the-art 1500 sqm office and showroom, which it expects to open late this year 2015.

The company, established by Brett Boulton in 2010 (pictured left), has expanded in size each year and is set to build 200 homes across Brisbane, Ipswich and the Sunshine Coast this year.

Mr Boulton said the company would relocate to the site, at 49 Flinders Parade in North Lakes, from its current premises, also in North Lakes.

"We build over 50 homes in North Lakes each year alone, with the north side of Brisbane and the Sunshine Coast our major markets," he said.

"These areas will continue to enjoy significant growth over the next 10 to 20 years, so the location is ideal because it is so easily accessible. We have been based at North Lakes since the company was established, with our team of 30 staff predominately based locally."

The new headquarters will include a more than 500 sqm gallery, which will showcase bathroom, kitchen and lounge room displays, along with a selection of colour schemes, fittings and finishes.

"Innovation is a cornerstone of what we do at Bold and our new state of the art gallery will offer an experience for those building a new home that they haven't been offered before, with real life scaled display rooms showcasing internal and external building products, along with interior design and styling," said Mr Boulton.

Stockland Business Development Manager Brad Donovan (pictured right) said Bold Properties proposed new headquarters and state-of-the-art gallery would be a welcome addition to the North Lakes Business Park.

“The decision by Bold to stay at North Lakes as it expands and enters an exciting new chapter in its history is fantastic news for our community,’’ said Mr Donovan.

“The proposed gallery is set to take buying a new home to another level. It will greatly benefit new North Lakes home buyers and also attract more customers to our business park and town centre, which are now widely recognised as the commercial hub for the Moreton Bay region.”

The latest North Lakes growth forecast shows a massive $1.3 billion worth of retail, commercial and residential investment is planned for the next decade as more and more businesses move into the community.

Mr Boulton said Bold had also just opened two new display homes at Stockland's Bells Reach community at Caloundra West on the Sunshine Coast.

"We entered the market with our Bold Properties brand and were one of the first movers in terms of designing homes to suit small lots, along with the traditional family home," said Mr Boulton.

"As the market shifted, we introduced Bold Prestige about 12 months ago to cater for second and third time purchasers wanting to build larger and more luxurious homes.

"Bold Prestige has been experiencing rapid growth and now accounts for about 30 per cent of our workbook of new homes.

"We are continually releasing new home designs in response to the latest trends and have another nine new display homes underway across South East Queensland, which will showcase the depth, breadth and quality of what we can build."
