Benchmark for Excellence: 2026 Awards Finalists Revealed

Australia’s leading property projects, organisations and innovators have been recognised as the finalists of the 2026 The Urban Developer Awards for Industry Excellence are revealed.

This year, more than 200 finalists across 26 categories are vying for the awards, presented in partnership with Trilogy Funds.

Now in its ninth year, the awards continue to spotlight the people and projects shaping the future of the built environment across the country. 

This year’s shortlist spans some of the most significant projects delivered in Australia in recent years, alongside emerging developers, innovative builders and organisations pushing the boundaries of what residential, commercial and mixed-use development can achieve.

From large-scale urban regeneration and high-density residential to boutique development, proptech innovation and community infrastructure, the finalists cover every corner of the built environment.

Winners will be announced at the gala awards dinner on the Gold Coast on Friday, July 24, 2026. The finalists are listed by category below.

This year’s shortlist reflects the ambition, depth and diversity of an industry continuing to deliver through elevated costs, planning complexity and shifting market conditions. 

Taken together, the finalists make a compelling case that the industry’s capacity to adapt and deliver has not diminished—even as the conditions for doing so have become more demanding.

All eyes now turn to July, where the winners will be revealed—recognising the very best in Australia’s built environment.
