Plans for a luxury townhouse development off the main road to the Sunshine Coast beaches have been filed.
Brisbane-based Azure Development Group has lodged its proposal for 206 townhouses with “state-of-the-art landscape embellishments and communal facilities” with the Sunshine Coast Council on May 7.
The about 5ha site at 77 Power Road, Buderim is zoned for medium-density residential and backs on to the Sunshine Motorway.
Azure picked up the two parcels that make up the site for about $18 million in late 2023 and settled a year later, according to CoreLogic property records.
The plans by Jared Poole Design show 36 facade variations for the townhouses that range from one to four bedrooms in a two-storey built form.
Also proposed is an open communal space at the centre of the development and a large vegetation buffer to the motorway by Laud Ink landscape architects.
A pickleball court, pool, recreational lawn, gym, office, sauna, steam room as well as hot and cold plunge pools are included in communal facilities.
The latest application follows the start of construction by Azure on Ember, a luxury project of 74 terrace homes at Augustine Heights in the Ipswich region.
The $60-million residential project at Augusta Parkway is being built by the developer’s in-house construction team.
The development includes an AClub facility with a large wet-edge pool, dedicated children’s pool, sun lounges and day beds.
The developer is predominantly focusing on medium-density residential projects, offloading a 2002sq m Brisbane city-fringe landholding to Goldfields last year for $17.1 million.
Plans for an 18-storey office on the site at 88 Robertson Street, Fortitude Valley, in the James Street precinct were filed for this site in December.
