720 Bourke Street Lures Traditional CBD Grid Tenants To Docklands

7

Cbus Property’s 720 Bourke Street has secured two significant new tenants as businesses turn their attention to well-located Docklands office buildings.

Colliers International’s Ben Christie has negotiated two new leases on behalf of Cbus Property to Chubb Insurance and the Civil Aviation Safety Authority for a combined total of almost 3,000sqm.

Chubb Insurance was represented by Genna McCarthy from CBRE’s Global Corporate Services and Civil Aviation Safety Authority was represented by Kevin Courtney from Colliers International’s Corporate Solutions team.

“Chubb Insurance, a longstanding CBD tenant, will relocate from central Collins Street to occupy 1,578sqm on Part Level 12 at 720 Bourke Street,” Mr Christie said.

“The views from the upper level floors at 720 Bourke Street are incredible, and the proximity to the CBD grid really surprised the tenant.

“The connection via the concourse to Southern Cross Station, and the ease of access to the traditional CBD grid was a key factor in Chubb Insurance choosing to relocate to this part of Docklands.”

Chubb has committed to a seven year lease, with a potential future requirement for more space pending an amalgamation with Ace Insurance.
