$7.5 Million Residents Club A First For Geelong

Villawood Properties has officially opened the $7.5million Club Armstrong facility at its flagship Armstrong Mt Duneed community.

The state-of-the-art community hub was unveiled with a with an event attended by all of Geelong’s industry and community leaders, including the Honorable Lisa Neville, MP, Member for Bellarine, Minister for Water and Minister for Police, who officially opened the building.

Villawood Properties Chief Executive Officer Rory Costelloe, said that excitement levels had been at an all-time high ahead of the impending launch of Club Armstrong, as evidenced by a record-breaking month of sales for October.

“The entire community has been really excited, from our residents and purchasers right down to the Armstrong project team and everyone else who has been involved," he said.

"We actually saw a project record of 50 sales for the month of October as the official opening of the Club drew closer."Club Armstrong will be the first of its kind in the Geelong region. The $7.5million, state-of-the-art facility will feature a heated pool plus a children’s pool, fully-equipped gymnasium, tennis courts, a café managed by popular local vendor 9 Grams, meeting and function spaces, a large deck and more, all set within a fully-landscaped, resort-themed environs.

Club Armstrong is located within Villawood Properties’ flagship Armstrong community at Mt Duneed, which is a 2,500 lot, $1 billion project in the heart of Armstrong Creek. The community offers five precincts to the approximately 900 residents currently living in the community, with about 100 homes currently under construction.

Statistics show that approximately 90% of buyers at Armstrong are owner-occupiers, with approximately 65% of buyers being second and third homebuyers.
