Green Light for $80m Central Qld Retirement Community

The Murray Group has been greenlit for an $80-million seniors living community for a Central Queensland beach community.

Set to rise at Tannum Sands, on the coast south of Gladstone, on a 5.3ha site, the precinct, dubbed Flinders Village, will comprise a mix of retirement living options and aged-care facilities, that the developer said would cater to a growing demand for senior accommodation in the region.

The site, about 425km north of Brisbane, is 800m from Tannum Sands beach and 600m from the central retail hub.
