WA Marine Hub’s $200m a ‘Drop’ in AUKUS Ocean of Opportunity

A $200-million business hub planned for Western Australia’s main shipbuilding complex will be a “drop in the ocean” in the multibillion-dollar bonanza that’s set to hit Perth from the AUKUS submarine pact, says the business hub’s developer.
Scope Property Group director Shaun Quinlan said the firm’s 18,472sq m site—for which a development application has been lodged to build the ‘Henderson Business Hub’—is the only block zoned for retail, commercial, and community uses in the 400ha Australian Marine Complex (AMC).
If approved by WA’s Metro Outer Development Assessment Panel, the hub would eventually have two office towers of 15 and 13 levels, a five-floor building with restaurants and retail tenancies, a five-level medical and office building and a 10-level, 161-room hotel.
