In November, 2017 the Independent Broadbased Anti-Corruption Commission launched a preliminary investigation into City of Casey councillor Sameh Aziz’s conduct.
Six years later, the ensuing inquiry’s findings are being put forward to justify the Victorian government’s proposed major planning changes.
When the report was finally released, the commission, best known as IBAC, noted how corruption had spread from the local government level up to the two major political parties, candidates and political staff.
