The Australian Government's
National Rental Affordability Scheme has started to gain momentum with over 6,000 dwellings now delivered.
According to the Department of Sustainability, Environment, Water, Population and Communities, almost 40,000 dwelling rights out of a total of 50,000 have been allocated to private developers and not-for-profit housing providers.
Queensland has led the way with both allocations and delivered dwellings with Victoria and NSW following.
The fifth and final round of allocations is for projects to be delivered by mid 2014.
