West Melbourne’s Miami Hotel Revamp Wins Green Light

Miami Hotel Group has won approval for its eponymous hotel redevelopment plans at West Melbourne.

Victorian planning minister Sonya Kilkenny used her powers under the Victorian Planning and Environment Act 1987 to approve an amendment to allow the development.

The amendment is site specific and allows the 2776sq m site (13-25 and 27 Hawke Street, and 599, 601 and 605-609 King Street) in West Melbourne to be exempt from certain planning overlays.
