‘Houses Like Cars’: Robo-Builders Bring Repeatable Customisation

The development sector was told by QUT professor Michael Milford that robots would creep, not crash, into the construction sector during his keynote at Urbanity-26.

He is not alone in that assessment.

Speakers on the panel AI and Robotics in Real Estate and Construction at The Urban Developer’s flagship conference on the Gold Coast agreed, reporting that experiments into specific use cases are already bearing fruit, but humanoid robots with generalised capabilities are likely to take longer to appear.
