Homelok Ushers New Era in Smart Living Security

PropTech Breakthrough, a leading independent market intelligence organisation that evaluates and recognises standout real estate technology companies, products, and services around the globe, announced that SALTO Homelok, a ground-breaking new smart access control solution for the residential market, is the recipient of its annual Residential Shared Space Platform of the Year.

Homelok offered an incredible value proposition with its total Smart Building Ecosystem designed to meet the needs of multifamily property managers and deliver an unparalleled resident experience in today’s connected home market, PropTech Breakthrough Awards managing director Bryan Vaughn said.

“This makes Homelok our choice for ‘Residential Shared Space Platform of the Year,’” Vaughn said.

“By blurring the lines between technology and real estate, Homelok offers comprehensive features, capabilities, proprietary software, and hardware technologies, and serves as a one-stop shop for all smart access needs.

“It is the ultimate solution that will revolutionise the way people access and live in their properties while offering a new level of security and convenience.”

The mission of the annual PropTech Breakthrough Awards program is to conduct the industry’s most comprehensive analysis and evaluation of top technology companies, solutions and products in the real estate technology industry. This year’s program attracted more than 1700 nominations from 12 countries.

SALTO Homelok is set to revolutionise residential living with its all-in-one solution that integrates smart access control technology, hardware, cloud software, digital keys and global service support including Apple Wallet key compatibility.

The platform offers a unique combination of flexibility and control with the fusion of cloud-based and standalone SALTO Virtual Network (SVN) smart-access technology to optimise deployments.

It also enables a smart-building ecosystem, reducing infrastructure and complexity with no need for additional equipment such as servers.

SALTO Systems Oceania general manager Frederik Troester said SALTO was honoured to have been recognised by PropTech Breakthrough for Homelok’s efforts to provide advanced, residential-specific, smart access control solutions to multi-family and single-family housing, vacation rentals, and home-care/assisted-living establishments.

“We designed Homelok to meet growing demand for connected home living and enable greater control and visibility. The result is the best access control solution of its kind,” Troester said.

“SALTO is setting the new standard in residential property access control and security operations and is revolutionising the operator and resident experience. We are thrilled to be recognized for our work in the 2023 PropTech Breakthrough Awards.”

Residents wanted seamless access without managing multiple keys and property managers wanted a solution that was easy to install and manage, and provided seamless resident onboarding, Troester said.

“Everyone wants physical security and protection for assets as well as a smarter living experience. SALTO Homelok delivers all this and more, providing convenient, secure, and technology-enabled living.”

Homelok features cloud management, allowing for full control of all access functions and features from the Homelok web app for both operators and residents. With simplified key management, residents can share and provide access from their apartment unit via a smartphone. It also provides access to authorised smart and mobile credentials for residents, visitors, and staff.
