Macquarie Group has won the property industry's top award, taking out the Rider Levett Bucknall Australian Development of the Year for 2016, for the steps taken in turning its heritage 50 Martin Place into an industry-leading workplace.
Macquarie Group’s workplace was presented with the development industry’s most coveted prize at the Property Council of Australia / Rider Levett Bucknall Innovation and Excellence Awards in Sydney on Friday 3 June.
50 Martin Place team[/caption]The new development was designed by BVN Architects in association with Clive Wilkinson Architects at a cost of $120m and features a 6 Star Green Star - Office Design v3 Rating.
50 Martin Place also took home the SAS International Award for Best Office Development and the JLL Award for Best Sustainable Development - Existing Buildings, while projects in New South Wales were presented with 11 of the 19 awards.
