The Urban Developer’s Industry Leaders Series is coming to Melbourne, putting the spotlight on two sectors in one day.

On Wednesday, November 11 at South Wharf in the Victorian Capital, the Healthcare Leaders Forum will be held over breakfast and the Industrial Leaders Forum over lunch. Each is a standalone forum with its own program and its own room, so register for one, or make a day of it and do both.

Healthcare Leaders Forum | Breakfast | 8.30am to 11am

Healthcare property is being reshaped by demographic change, capital flows and growing demand for new models of care.

The breakfast opens with The New Healthcare Playbook panel.

The panel includes Colliers head of transaction services for healthcare and retirement living Ian Sanders, who brings more than 20 years across healthcare, finance and aged care.

Australian Unity general manager of healthcare property Chris Smith works across Australia’s largest unlisted healthcare property trust.

And Vital Healthcare Property Trust head of investments Cameron Ramsay has helped grow the trust from about $700 million to more than $3.3 billion over the past decade.

Together they unpack site selection, development economics, leasing and capital structures, and how closer alignment between capital, property and care providers is creating better-performing healthcare assets.

A fireside chat follows—Inside Avive Health: A New Model of Care.

Avive Health co-founder and co-chief executive Mark Sweeney will sit down with The Urban Developer founder Adam Di Marco to examine the journey behind the private mental health group, the growing demand for specialist facilities and the opportunity for the developers, investors and operators building the infrastructure to meet it.

Industrial Leaders Forum | Lunch | 12pm to 3pm

The afternoon belongs to industrial—and the fireside is the drawcard.

Time and Place executive director Chris O’Keefe has spent more than 25 years in commercial property and built the group’s industrial portfolio.

His In Conversation covers the confluence of industrial, logistics, workplaces and storage, and what it means for the next generation of assets.

The New Industrial Playbook panel puts the developers on stage.

Troon Group managing director Tom McInerney leads a $700-million pipeline across industrial, commercial, retail and self-storage, with an $80-million Bullsbrook acquisition opening the group’s Western Australian expansion this year.

Salta Properties director of industrial development Owen Smith has led the masterplanning of the group’s Nexus precincts at Dandenong South and Mulgrave.

More speakers will be announced in coming weeks.

Two sectors, two rooms, one day at South Wharf. Breakfast is done by 11am, lunch by 3pm.
