The block of flats is back in a big way on the Gold Coast.

With a dearth of affordable housing and a prevailing construction crunch hitting tower feasibilities, the city’s pipeline of boutique infill proposals is on the rise.

Plans for a three-storey development comprising eight apartments at Runaway Bay are the latest to join the slew of proposed low to midrise projects.
