Country Garden Australia (CGA), has announced the acquisition of its first Victorian development project in Wyndham Vale.
Located approximately 36 kilometres south west of Melbourne the 353-hectare project will at completion, consist of over 4,000 homes.
CGA Managing Director Guotao Hu said the strategic acquisition represents the company’s long-term commitment to the Australian market.
“We are excited at the prospect of delivering our first major greenfield community in Australia and we remain committed to developing high-quality housing for all Australians,” Mr Hu said.
Country Garden Australia is the Australian arm of the Hong Kong Stock Exchange listed Country Garden Holdings Co Ltd, with over RMB 140 billion in sales.
Established in 1992, the company has a market capitalisation of approximately A$30 billion and has built homes for over three million people across 400 cities globally.
Country Garden entered the Australian market in 2014 and is currently delivering a major residential mixed-use community, Ryde Garden, 15 kilometres north west of the Sydney CBD that consists of 830 apartments across three buildings.
Ryde Garden's integrated community is nestled amongst locally celebrated national parks and waterways, designed by Bates Smart. Stage two apartment buildings will consist of one, two and three bedroom apartments starting from $498,000.
The complex is surrounded by a 4000 square metre park imaginatively landscaped by Aspect Studios to deliver a consummate standard of living that combines the practical and aesthetic. Completion is expected at the end of 2018 and the project will aim to achieve a 4 Star Green Star Design rating.
