Builder-Developer’s $250m Newstead Tower Greenlit

Newstead BPG Approval hero

Builder-developer BPG Developments has been given the green light for a 15-storey residential tower—its largest project so far—at Brisbane's inner-city Newstead.

The approved plans for the $250-million development comprise 103 apartments sitting above a ground-floor retail tenancy and capped with a rooftop wellness facility.

It is earmarked for a 2430sq m site spanning three titles at 16-22 Maud Street—next to the 1889-built former Goldsworthy and Perkins Boot Factory—also known as the Federal Boot Factory—a remnant of the suburb’s first wave of industrial development.
