UAE-based developer Arada has put its foot on a Broadbeach development site and is planning a $2-billion dual-tower development as its Sunshine State debut.

The developer said the skyscrapers of 62 and 55 storeys would deliver 952 apartments opposite the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre.

While Arada declined to name its site, industry sources told The Urban Developer it is 2709-2723 Gold Coast Highway, which was taken to market as Central on Broadbeach via an expression-of-interest campaign managed by Kollosche Commercial agents Tony and Adam Grbcic in January.
