Makari Brothers Aim Another $500m Precinct at Sydney’s West
Roy and Mark Makari have struck in the west again, showing plans for a three-tower mixed hotel-residential precinct next to the Bradfield Metro station.
While documents associated with the application give a gross construction cost of about $750 million, Roy Makari told The Urban Developer that an updated figure closer to $500 million is more likely.
The 2ha lot at 135 Badgerys Creek Road would host two hotels with a combined 445 keys, as well as 402 apartments. The project is being progressed through the Makari brothers’ vehicle, Bradfield Corporation Pty Ltd, which has secured a single operator with two brands for the two hotels.
