RMIT University and Scape have announced one of the most significant investments in Melbourne’s CBD in recent years, committing more than $270 million combined to establish a mixed-use PBSA tower above the city’s new State Library Metro Tunnel station.

Scape chief executive Anouk Darling told The Urban Developer the building would be the tallest student accommodation tower in the world.

RMIT has signed a $190-million, 15-year lease for the first nine levels for flexible, hands-on learning spaces to bring students into closer contact with industry partners.
