Swiss Pension Fund Pitches $333m Pyrmont Office-Top Tower

AFIAA has lodged a $333 million plan for apartments that would necessitate the demolition of the west wing of its eight-storey fully-occupied A-grade office block at Pyrmont, overlooking Sydney Harbour.
The developer, a vehicle of Swiss pension fund Avadis, proposed a 34-storey residential tower adjacent to the existing office building at 60 Union Street.
The new tower would comprise 178 market units—17 per cent single-bed, half two-bed and 16 per cent three-bed plus a three-bed penthouse. It would also comprise 41 affordable units.
