Surry Hills Hat Factory Hotel plans show a very modern 123-room building on the corner site in Sydney

Final changes for a 123-key hotel that will resurrect a heritage hat factory destroyed by fire in the Sydney CBD have been filed.

An application for the Surry Hills hat factory was submitted to the City of Sydney council this month to progress the plans first approved in 2019.

Hanave Pty Ltd, led by Sydney real estate investors Robert and Geula Burke, bought the hat factory in 1978 as well as a corner property at 7-13 and 15 Randle Street, Surry Hills.
