Currently the focus of major urban revitalisation, East Perth is readying itself for
a master-planned urban quarter set to unite commercial, residential and retail space, along with a luxury hotel.
To be completed in 2014, the Frasers Property Australia development will be located on the former Metrobus Depot site on the Swan River foreshore, granting it an enviable riverside position with views of the city and the Darling Ranges.
Designed by Jones Coulter Young, the precinct sets high standards for urban design, with plans for it to extend across three interconnected buildings that range from three to 18 storeys high.
Central to Queens Riverside
will be a landscaped open space with gardens, water features and meeting places that will form a pedestrian link, providing access to surrounding transport.
The pinnacle feature of the development is Fraser Suites Perth, the latest luxury apartment hotel to be built in the area and the second Gold Standard serviced hotel in Australia.
Construction on the Fraser Suites Hotel is almost complete, with its opening set for September this year.
CEO of Frasers Property Australia, Guy Pahor, expects that Queens Riverside will deliver a new standard of residential living for Perth locals.
“There is no doubt about Frasers’ commitment to quality, which is clearly demonstrated in the stunning sales suite for Queens Riverside on Adelaide Terrace,” Mr. Pahor said.
“Anyone considering buying an apartment in Perth, regardless of the location, should visit that sales suite as part of their groundwork of buying a home,” he said.
“The quality is simply outstanding. Our sales agents have told us that it’s great to have a new world-class apartment developer in Perth.”
The first stage of construction has begun on Queen Riverside’s focal residential faculty, named QIII, which will house 265 apartments, dual-key suites and townhouses.
Of the 265 QIII apartments, 115 have already sold, totalling current sales to over $100 million and counting.
Prices at QIII range from $340,000 for a studio apartment, and dual key apartments start from $600,000.
QI and QII are two additional low rise residential towers that are planned for later stages of construction, yet to be confirmed.
The project will also exhibit a selection of retail premises, a café, restaurant and bar venues, as well as plans for a business function centre and office space in QIII and the Fraser Suites hotel.
