
Transport is life, says Kate Meyrick, and urban transport infrastructure is fundamental to the future of our cities.
But, says the director for the professional consulting giant Urbis, we’re going to have to stop pooh-poohing the big transport infrastructure projects in NSW and Victoria as unnecessary and not good value for money.
“Maybe they aren’t in today’s terms,” she told an audience of about 500 at the Urbanity conference on the Gold Coast, “but in 50 years’ time we’ll wonder how we did without them.”
