IFM Unveils Fresh Two-Tower Plan for Brisbane’s Wintergarden Precinct

A major redevelopment of Brisbane’s Wintergarden shopping centre and Regent Theatre could deliver 290 new homes and a 240-room hotel above a retail podium under plans lodged with the Brisbane City Council this week.
The proposal represents a significant change from the current retail-focused configuration, bringing a mix of office, hospitality and residential uses into one of Brisbane’s most prominent CBD sites.
It also a big departure from the former ISPT scheme for 150 Elizabeth, which was originally pitched as an office tower, then a revised mixed-use 42-storey tower, which was proposed in 2024.

▲ It's the third recut of the plans for the Elizbeth Precinct site in three years.
