Capsule-style hotel accommodation is being proposed in a bid to reinvent a former luxury shopping destination at Surfers Paradise.
Plans have been filed for the 120-bed short-term accommodation proposal in the 1980s-built retail asset once known as The Galleria.
It is earmarked for a large vacant tenancy on level 1 of the four-storey complex—renamed X Galaxy Shopping Centre—at the corner of Surfers Paradise Boulevard and Elkhorn Street.
