2018 Australian Interior Design Awards Shortlist Revealed

An unprecedented 600 entries from Australian practices located both nationally and internationally have been whittled down to a shortlist of 199, with each project competing for top honours at the 2018 Australian Interior Design Awards.

The judging panel – made up of eight of Australia’s most highly-regarded interior designers and architects – will be tasked with selecting the countries top projects across the residential, public and commercial sectors.

Categories include best residential design, residential decoration, hospitality design, installation design, public design, retail design and workplace design.

This year's panel features Dave Bickmore (Studio Gram), Elizabeth Carpenter (FJMT Studio), Sonia Simpfendorfer (Nexus Designs), Hanna Richardson (Zwei), Mark Simpson (DesignOffice), Donna Wheatley (WMK), Tracey Wiles (Make) and Kieran Wong (Cox Architecture).

Delivered by the Design Institute of Australia (DIA) and Architecture Media’s Artichoke magazine, the 2018 program is the largest in the awards history, which is now into its 15th year.

The 2018 winners will be announced at a gala presentation held at Sydney’s Hyatt Regency on Friday 25 May.
